Archaeologist

is an expanding progressive surface land and environmental consulting firm with an interest in oil and gas, forestry, mining, energy, and agricultural industries, as well as municipal authorities throughout Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Ontario and Canada’s north. GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
Obtained or working towards Bachelor or Graduate Degree in Archaeology or Anthropology
1+ years of field experience in archaeology (preferred but not required)
Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office
First Aid and H2S Safety tickets (preferred)
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and clean driver abstract
Canadian Citizen or Permanent Residency

Ability to coordinate project logistics and preparation for field work

Willingness to assist in other aspects of Roy Northern services
RESPONSIBILITIES
Help set up and prepare for archaeological assessments for forestry, energy, mine, oil and gas facility and pipeline projects
Execute archaeological field programs as per the direction of project Field Supervisors and Directors
Upload and properly file field data
Assist with sections of technical reports
Gain and maintain an understanding of applicable BC heritage regulations, guidelines, and associated industry practices
Document and keep records in accordance with AiM’s Quality Management Plan
