Application EngineerResponsibilities
Interface with customers and EagleBurgmann global sales organization to determine project requirements.
Review customer specifications, operating conditions, and system interfaces.
Perform application sizing, performance calculations, and product selection.
Prepare technical proposals and quotations with supporting documentation and comments and deviations to specifications
Participate in product development as needed for special applications
Perform Engineering calculations related to blower performance, pressure vessel design, magnetic coupling design, etc.
Checki/review engineering drawings as required ensuring products meet contract requirements as well as engineering standards and certifications
Ensure the scope is well defined, and that the product design meets these specifications and the customer’s requirements
Review contracts to ensure technical feasibility, risk management, and alignment with internal engineering and operations capabilities.
Create Data Packages and Inspection and Test Plans
Provide technical support during design, manufacturing, commissioning, and service phases.
Manage projects, including project timelines, project budgeting, cost estimation, component and materials procurement
Participate in quality processes including corrective and preventative actions or activities
Capture lessons learned from projects and field experience to support continuous improvement.
Participate in testing of products, sometimes with customers or third party inspectors
Support Service and Repair business
Review and adhere to all Company management systems, procedures, and policies (e.g., Quality, HSE, etc.)
Responsible for other duties and responsibilities as determined from time to time by Company Management.
Qualifications
B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing) or equivalent
Self-starter with strong organization skills and attention to detail requiring minimal supervision
Knowledge of industrial rotating equipment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical problem-solving skills
Ability to multi-task
Hands-on mechanical aptitude
Project management experience
Ability to work well within a team including manufacturing personnel, engineers, designers, suppliers and customers
Strong dedication to customer service.
Attention to detail
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Capable of managing and/or switching from one task to another in a fluid environment.
Capable of prioritizing workload based on organizational needs with little supervision.
Ability to "think outside of the box".
Must operate with a "sense of urgency" and be flexible with scheduling to meet customer needs.
