Clinic Details – Royal Inland Hospital The Royal Inland Hospital (RIH) is a 273‑bed tertiary referral centre serving approximately 250,000 people in the Thompson, Cariboo, Shuswap health service area. RIH has a 24‑hour Emergency Department, a new operating room, multi‑disciplinary surgical suites, obstetric and respiratory services, a rooftop helipad, and advanced diagnostic and support services (MRI, CT, Echocardiography, Sleep Lab, etc.). It also hosts a dedicated High‑Acuteness Response Team (HART) for remote emergency transport. Practice Details Royal Inland Hospital is seeking multiple Anaesthesiologists to join our department. The position is hospital‑based, offering the following responsibilities: Provide anaesthesia care for General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Neurosurgery, Vascular Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, ENT, Plastic Surgery, and Urology. Manage multiple trauma cases for both pediatric and adult patients. Teach senior residents who rotate through RIH during their elective time. Work 15‑hour weekday shifts and 12‑hour weekend shifts (approximately one weekend per month) with on‑call remuneration. Full pre‑ and post‑call to maintain good working conditions. Opportunity for 10‑12 weeks off per year to pursue local recreational activities. Potential for locum or short‑term work. Recruitment & Compensation Compensation Type: Clinical Service Contract Estimated Remuneration: $545,000 – $598,000 Benefits and Incentives Relocation assistance $9,000 – $15,000 based on move location (eligible receipts required).
