AI Strategy & Transformation Lead
Sydney | Hybrid 3 days onsite | Enterprise AI, Product & Business Transformation
My Client is one of Australia’s most recognised consumer and digital services brands, operating at the intersection of personalisation, commerce, operations, logistics, customer experience, and government-connected systems. Behind the scenes sits a complex ecosystem spanning digital platforms, operations, customer support, payments, legal and compliance workflows, operational tooling, marketing automation, integrations, and enterprise systems across the broader group environment.
As AI rapidly reshapes how businesses operate, they are investing in the next phase of enterprise AI capability, operational transformation, workflow automation, and intelligent systems adoption. This is a newly created strategic leadership role designed to help define and operationalise that future.
The Opportunity
We are looking for an AI Strategy & Transformation Lead to help shape and drive the enterprise AI strategy across the business and the broader group ecosystem. This role will partner closely with executive leadership, and the Chief Strategy Officer, to identify where AI can create meaningful commercial, operational, and customer value across the business.
We are looking for someone who can:
Define and drive the enterprise AI strategy and roadmap across the business
Identify and implement practical AI opportunities across operations, customer experience, and internal workflows
Evaluate AI platforms, tooling, and vendors while establishing governance and safe adoption frameworks
Lead AI experimentation, rollout, and capability uplift across the organisation
You will have the opportunity to:
Shape the AI transformation strategy of a highly recognisable Australian business
Work directly with executive leadership on future-state operating models and technology initiatives
Modernise workflows, systems, and operations through practical AI adoption
Create measurable commercial and operational impact while helping future-proof the organisation
Ideal Experience
Experience leading or contributing to enterprise AI transformation initiatives
Strong understanding of modern AI tooling and platforms including OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini,Copilot etc, orchestration tooling, and enterprise AI ecosystems
Experience evaluating AI vendors, enterprise tooling, or transformation programs
Ability to identify practical business applications of AI beyond hype-driven use cases
Experience balancing innovation with governance, risk, compliance, and operational scalability
Strong stakeholder management capability across executive, operational, and technical teams
Ability to work through ambiguity and shape future-state strategy
Experience leading discovery, experimentation, pilot programs, and transformation initiatives
Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
Commercially minded with strong judgment around prioritisation, ROI, and operational impact
Bonus Experience
Government-connected, regulated, or enterprise operational environments
AI governance or responsible AI frameworks
Workflow automation or intelligent operations programs
SaaS, platform, or operational systems experience
Marketplace or multi-sided platform environments
Exposure to data, reporting, automation, or enterprise integration ecosystems
Consulting or enterprise advisory backgrounds
