Permanent, Part-time
For over 35 years,
Umbrella Family and Child Centres of Hamilton
has been dedicated to offering high-quality programs for young children and their families. We operate full-day early learning and childcare centres for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, along with before and after school extended-day programs for kindergarten and school-aged children at over 27 locations across the Greater Hamilton Area.

Location:
Winona Centre; 301 Lewis Rd, Stoney Creek, ON L8E 5H1
Total Weekly Hours:
17.75
hours per week
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 2:45pm - 6:00pm
Pay Rate (per Collective Agreement, includes wage grants):

Who We’re Looking For
Qualifications:
Minimum
1-year experience
working directly with children or in a childcare setting.
Early Childhood Education Diploma (ECE) and member in good standing with the College of ECEs OR educational requirements to obtain Director’s Approval for working alone with children
Certifications:
Standard First Aid with CPR Level C
Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check
Proof of
up-to-date immunizations
(TB, Tetanus, MMR)
Skills & Knowledge:
Familiarity with
How Does Learning Happen?

Strong understanding of
child development
and age-appropriate activities.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Hamilton Wentworth District School Board faculty
