Job Summary Adult Coronary/Structural Cardiologist Work Site: Vancouver General Hospital Status: Full-Time Start Date: July 1, 2025 Compensation Type: Fee-for-Service Join the St. Paul’s Hospital and Vancouver General Hospital Divisions of Cardiology as a full‑time academic Adult Coronary & Structural Cardiologist. Requirements: Completed training in cardiovascular medicine, certified or eligible for certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia. Minimum 2 years of coronary and structural interventional training, at least 1 year of cardiac CT in both coronary and structural imaging. Preference for candidates with advanced research training (PhD preferred), experience in clinical trials, strong publication record, and principal investigator experience in multicentre trials. Responsibilities: Provide leadership, mentorship, and training to medical students, residents, fellowship trainees, and graduate students; cover inpatient services at VGH and St. Paul’s; commit 30–40% time to research and apply for external funding within 3 years. Qualifications Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – Mandatory Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) – Provisional Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) – Required Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) – Desired Rewards include current academic appointments and opportunities for clinical assistant professor rank.
