Reports to: The Senior Strategic Advisor in the Presidents Department
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support the Senior Strategic Advisor in managing and improving program management processes in a rapidly evolving environment.
Support the Senior Strategic Advisor in managing funding agreement requirements with government and Nunavik partners, including related monitoring processes.
Facilitate communication and collaboration with government and partner counterparts in agreement management.
Develop, coordinate, and support the implementation of management tools that help program managers (cultural development, sports and youth initiatives, Urban Inuit, Lillys Fund, and any new programs).
Support the implementation of data measurement and management processes to assist program managers in monitoring their program.
Support and coordinate communication with the program managers.
Coordinate with program managers to provide administrative support as needed.
Provide administrative expertise to support the development of new social and cultural programs.
Provide any other administrative support required by the Senior Strategic Advisor and program managers.
Be available to travel, as requested;
Perform other related duties within the scope of the position or as requested by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
University Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Management, Data management or a related field
Four (4) to six (6) years of experience in an administrative role;
Effective communication skills in at least two (2) of the three (3) languages: Inuktitut, English and/or French;
General and moderate knowledge of traditional Inuit knowledge is required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Strong Excel skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Attention to detail and accuracy in financial and administrative tasks
Experience in budget follow-up and variance analysis is an asset
Experience managing Qubec or federal government programs is an asset
Efficiency and continuous improvement Certifications (i.e. Lean, etc.) in an asset
Good knowledge of data management is an asset
Security clearance is required.
