Permanent Full TimeThe Administrative Assistant is responsible for telephone reception and administrative duties for the Disability Management Services Office (DMSO).What you will doPaying Invoice, manage incoming phone call inquiries received on the department toll-free lineOpen, sort and prepare incoming mailScan mail into the document imaging system and set tasks for team members to review and handle the mailCreate and mail correspondence to employees, clients, and service providersMaintain employee and client information in Canada Life systems, including entering or updating banking information, updating employee and client contact information, and entering invoice data for paymentInvestigate mail that has been returned to sender and resend the mail as appropriateManage the distribution of files requested from the Records CentreOther administrative duties as assignedWhat you will bringCompletion of high school or equivalentProficiency in Outlook, Word, ExcelStrong keyboarding (50 wpm) and data entry skills requiredExcellent customer service skillsAbility to work well independently and as part of a teamWell developed organizational, time management and prioritization skillsExcellent communication skillsWell-developed problem-solving skillsReliability Status Security Clearance – this can only be completed with candidates who receive an offer of employment. This is a personal security status that is required as a condition of employment before an employee can gain access to Protected B information, assets or work sites as outlined by the Government of Canada website. The cost of submitting these checks will be covered by Canada Life. The base salary for this position is between $38,700 - $52,400 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
