Our client is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead a team responsible for delivering accurate and efficient payment operations. This leadership role will work closely with finance and operational stakeholders to support business objectives, develop team capability, and drive improvements that enhance overall departmental performance.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Provide leadership and mentorship to the Accounts Payable team, oversee the function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor payments.
Review and approve invoices, payment batches, accruals, and adjustments to ensure financial accuracy.
Drive consistency, accountability, and service excellence within the AP function.
Partner with finance and operational leaders to support efficient financial processes and timely information flow.
Champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
Strengthen controls and procedures to support compliance, governance, and financial integrity.
Support monthly financial reporting activities and contribute to the overall close process.
Foster strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders while ensuring a high level of service.
Monitor departmental performance, identify trends, and implement solutions to improve results.
Develop team capability through coaching, mentorship, and ongoing performance management.
Contribute to broader finance initiatives and special projects that support organizational growth.
Key Qualifications Include:
Minimum 5-7 years of progressive AP experience, with demonstrated ability to effectively lead a team.
Demonstrated experience managing high-volume invoice processing and payment functions.
Strong leadership, coaching, and team development abilities.
Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and changing workloads in a deadline-driven environment.
