Job DescriptionJob Description Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist Job Description: We are seeking a short-term Accounts Payable Specialist to assist with the closing down of operations and stores. This engagement is expected to run through the end of July, with a possibility of extension. Responsibilities Enter invoices accurately and efficiently. Disburse payments via cheque or EFT. Communicate with managers regarding any missing documentation. Answer vendor inquiries promptly and professionally. Save invoices digitally for record-keeping. Monitor the Accounts Payable inbox for new invoices that need to be entered and paid. Essential Skills 1+ years of experience in Accounts Payable. Proficiency in invoice processing, purchase orders, vendor invoices, and inventory coding. Excellent written and spoken communication skills for interacting with external customers. Basic proficiency with Excel. Proficient in MS Outlook as the AP Inbox is housed here. Willingness to commit to a short-term contract. Competence in data entry and three-way matching. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with EPass Software (specific to appliances). Familiarity with any mid-size ERP software. Experience with Accounts Payable within the retail sector. Accounting education. Experience with inventory payables and three-way matching. Work Environment This position involves working within a company undergoing liquidation and shutting down operations, providing a finite scope of work. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, totaling a 40-hour week. Training will be conducted 100% on-site. The location is transit accessible with parking available on-site. The dress code is business casual. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Vancouver, BC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $55000.00/hr.
