The Role
We're looking for an experienced, detail-oriented
Accounting Manager
to lead financial reporting and accounting operations across our organization. You'll own month-end close, financial reporting, intercompany accounting, and compliance across multiple legal entities, working closely with finance and business leadership in a fast-growing, multi-entity environment.
What You'll Do
Financial Reporting & Month-End Close
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
Prepare financial statements in accordance with Canadian GAAP
Review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
Analyze results and explain variances to management
Multi-Entity Accounting
Manage accounting across multiple Canadian legal entities
Oversee intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and eliminations
Maintain entity-level reporting and consolidations
Support new entity setup and structural changes
Compliance & Audit Support
Coordinate year-end audits with external auditors
Support tax compliance and external advisor requests
Ensure compliance with internal controls and documentation standards
Systems & Process Improvement
Improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiency
Support ERP and finance system implementation projects
Build scalable workflows and documentation
Team & Operational Support
Guide and oversee accounting operations team members
Review AP, expense management, payroll support, and GL activities
Partner on budgeting, reporting, and board/investor materials
What You'll Bring
Must-Have
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field
CPA designation (or equivalent) preferred
5+ years of progressive accounting experience
Strong knowledge of Canadian GAAP
Experience across multiple legal entities and leading month-end close
Strong Excel and accounting systems skills
Legally eligible to work in Canada, based in or willing to relocate to the GTA
Comfortable in a hybrid, in-office-collaborative environment
Nice-to-Have
Startup or high-growth company experience
Super-user experience with QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Expensify, and Procurify
ERP implementation or finance system migration experience
Intercompany accounting/consolidations experience
Experience supporting external audits and tax advisors
