About the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented
Staff Accountant
specializing in
Accounts Payable (AP)
and
Accounts Receivable (AR)
to support daily financial operations in a collaborative and flexible work environment. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in

Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable & Vendor Management
Process and verify
vendor invoices
, ensuring accuracy, coding, approvals, and proper documentation.
Perform
credit card reconciliations
and maintain accurate payment records.
Maintain and update
vendor files
, payment schedules, and supporting documentation.
Ensure timely vendor payments while supporting effective
cash flow management
and strong vendor relationships.
Accounts Receivable & Billing
Manage
customer invoicing
,
accounts receivable
, collections, and payment application processes.
Record incoming payments and reconcile customer accounts accurately.
Support accurate and timely billing procedures to improve receivable turnover.
General Accounting Functions
Maintain and reconcile the
general ledger
, ensuring financial accuracy and resolving discrepancies promptly.
Prepare
journal entries
, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for
month-end
and
year-end close
.
Assist with
weekly budget preparation
, financial tracking, and reporting activities.
Support
audit preparation
, compliance documentation, and adherence to
GAAP
and internal controls.
Collaboration & Process Improvement
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve
accounting workflows
, operational efficiency, and reporting accuracy.
Participate in
cross-training
initiatives to provide backup support across accounting functions.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in
Accounting
,
Finance
, or related field.
Experience
3+ years of experience in
accounting
,
accounts payable
,
accounts receivable
, or related finance roles.
Preferred Qualifications
Progress toward
CPA certification
is considered an asset.
Experience with
QuickBooks
,
SAP
,
ADP
,
Paychex
, or similar accounting/payroll systems preferred.
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of
GAAP
,
financial reconciliation
, and
payroll regulations
Experience with
general ledger accounting
and
financial reporting
Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem-solving abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
