Job Description
Security Site Supervisor
Work Location: Downtown Halifax, NS
Employment Type: Full-Time
Pay: $25.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Overview
Allied Universal is seeking a professional and experienced
Security Site Supervisor
for a marine facility located in Downtown Halifax. The successful candidate must hold a valid
Marine Facility Security Officer (MFSO) designation
and demonstrate strong leadership, operational oversight, and compliance management skills within a regulated security environment.
This position reports directly to a Regional Service Manager and is responsible for overseeing daily site security operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supervising assigned security personnel.
Responsibilities
Supervise and support site security personnel on assigned shift
Ensure compliance with Marine Transportation Security Regulations (MTSR) and site-specific security plans
Perform CCTV monitoring and incident response
Conduct patrols (interior and exterior), including exposure to weather conditions
Prepare reports, maintain logs, and ensure accurate documentation
Respond to emergencies and liaise with local authorities when required
Enforce company policies and client procedures
Provide leadership, coaching, and performance oversight
Qualifications & Requirements:
Valid
Marine Facility Security Officer (MFSO) Designation
Valid Nova Scotia Security License (must be able to obtain Nova Scotia License)
Current First Aid & CPR Certification
Experience with CCTV camera monitoring
Previous supervisory or leadership experience in security
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Eligibility to work in Canada
Physical Requirements:
Ability to walk for extended periods
Ability to stand for long periods
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Additional Information:
This is a non-union position
This role requires on-site presence in Downtown Halifax
Only candidates meeting the MFSO requirement will be considered
