Role Overview
For this exciting position, we specifically seek students with backgrounds in Land, Resource, or energy administration. We also welcome students in Geoscience, Business, Law, or GIS to become part of our Land & Assets Co-op. Reporting to the Analyst, Canada Land & Assets, this role provides hands-on exposure to surface and mineral rights management, records management, and the utilization of land databases that support our exploration, legacy property, and current mining operations. The successful candidate will play an active role in ensuring that land and asset requirements are accurate, current, and aligned with the company's objectives and expectations.
Candidates must be enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institution for the entire co-op term. They must also plan to return to their studies for at least one academic term after completion. If you are not currently located near the work location, you must be willing to commute or temporarily relocate for the length of the term. A valid work permit will be required where applicable.

Key Responsibilities
Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
Assist with updates to land and administration files, including new data entry
Undertake necessary research and data source retrieval, including land title searches and corporate record searches, to maintain a current record of ownership and land interests
Assist with information research and analysis
Scanning and uploading of land documentation and records to various repository systems
Prepare and provide clear, accessible reports and insights for the Land team and internal partners
Build simple maps in GIS
Support projects, analytical work, and continuous improvement initiatives as assigned
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce, Geoscience, Law, GIS or equivalent experience or a related degree or diploma, with a focus on Land, Resource or Energy Management, Urban Planning, Geoscience, Environment or a similar field
Knowledge of ArcGIS, records management systems and data entry
Strong attention to detail coupled with managing data entry, reconciliation, and analysis successfully
Well-developed research and planning skills
Ability to work independently while also collaborating optimally within a team environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships
Proven digital literacy, particularly in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Pay Range:
CAD $4,100 - 6,100 per month
The actual amount offered is determined based on the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
