Our client, in the logistigs field, is seeking a
Class 5 Driver/ Dispatch Coordinator
to join their team.
Job Title: Class 5 Driver/ Dispatch Coordinator
Location: Edmonton, AB
Shift: Monday to Friday: 12:00pm to 8:30pm (This is a fixed shift which requires full availability Monday to Friday)
Pay Rate: $28/hour
Delivery Duties
Complete
door‑to‑door healthcare deliveries
accurately, safely, and on schedule.
Handle
temperature‑controlled shipments
(15–25°C, 2–8°C, and heated services) following established protocols.
Maintain precise
chain‑of‑signature documentation
and proof-of-delivery records.
Utilize company technology for
real‑time tracking, scanning, and temperature monitoring
.
Ensure secure handling of sensitive medical and pharmaceutical products.
Report delays, product concerns, or operational challenges promptly.
Coordination & Dispatch Duties
Assist with
daily route planning
, driver support, and dispatch functions.
Monitor route progress, shipment status, and temperature integrity using tracking systems.
Communicate with customers, clinics, pharmacies, and internal teams professionally to resolve issues.
Support accuracy of manifests, temperature logs, COS records, and other operational documentation.
Ensure alignment with
Health Canada compliance requirements

Collaborate with warehouse teams on staging, sorting, and load preparation.
What’s Needed?
Valid Class 5 Driver's License for at least 3 years required
Over the age of 25 years (to meet company insurance requirements)
Ability to provide a clear driver's abstract and proof of clear criminal history
Experience in delivery, dispatch and logistics coordination
Ability to problem-solve and collaborate with Dispatch and customers
Comfortable using logistics technology, scanners and digital tracking tools.
Strong oral and written communication skills in English
Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work safely in varying weather conditions
