Maintenance Mechanic Technician (Scarborough)

We have vacancy for all three shifts
Day Shift:
7am-3:30pm
Afternoon Shift
3:30pm-11:30pm
Night shift
- 11 pm-7:30am
Work Location: Scarborough (Sheppard Ave East and Morningside Ave)
Pay:
$25/hr.- $30/hr. based on experience
Job Description:
Set up and troubleshoot packaging machines and lines
Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products to standards
Adjust machine components, machine tension and pressure according to size or processing angle of product
Regulate machine flow or speed
Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur, clear machine jams, and report malfunctions to a supervisor
Inspect and remove defective products and packaging material
Clean, oil, and make minor adjustments or repairs to machinery and equipment, such as opening valves or setting guides
Monitor the production line, watching for problems such as pile-ups, jams, or glue that isn t sticking properly
Perform preventative maintenance on packaging lines as the schedule requires
Repair areas in the facility that require attention as per work orders;
Train Packaging Equipment Operators
Assist with production on lines as required
Able to source & order parts through online maintenance program
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Minimum of 2-4 years experience as a Maintenance Technician or Mechanic specializing in secondary packaging (i.e., shrink wrapping, overwrapping and cartooning)
Must have Food Manufacturing Industry experience
Mechanically inclined
Experience using ERP/MRP systems
Prior experience Troubleshooting and Repairing packaging machines
Forklift or Scissor Lift certification an asset
Electrical experience is an asset
Well versed with Microsoft Office Suite
