General Labourer - Downstream - Day Shift at Industrial Metals — NeverHard

Job DescriptionJob Description Industrial Metals (2011) is looking for a reliable, versatile, team-player to join our Downstream team. The ideal candidate is someone who has a strong work ethic, takes initiative, is reliable, follows instructions and adheres to the company's Health & Safety rules. P lease note that this is an entry level position. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE: Identifying, picking and sorting various pieces of ferrous and/or non-ferrous metal Routine cleaning of work area and equipment as often as required Recognize and report operational problems of machines Operate equipment (when required and if certified) while adhering to all safe work practices and procedures Work in accordance with all company health and safety guidelines Assist in other areas of the business including the warehouse, yard, or shop as the need arises Other duties as assigned by supervisor QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED: P revious experience in manufacturing or construction-like settings is considered an asset Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (working in all weather conditions, standing for long periods of time, lifting of up to 50lbs) Must be reliable and possess a good attendance record Quick and attentive learner Detail-oriented and consistent performer Good hand-eye coordination Good mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity Working knowledge of safety standards Good English communication skills Demonstrate the ability to work professionally, respectfully with a positive attitude in a fast-paced working environment High level of personal integrity, must be trustworthy Strong work ethic and ability to complete work in a timely manner Must be able to work with little supervision; must be self-directed Ability to work both independently and as part of a team We welcome applications from all interested individuals; however, only those candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
