Standard Manufacturers Services Ltd. is looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined individual to join our growing team in a hands-on Maintenance & Plant Support role. If you're someone who enjoys working with tools, fixing things, tackling general repairs and keeping things organized, this could be the opportunity for you. Working alongside our Maintenance Team, you'll assist with routine equipment upkeep, general repairs, facility maintenance, material handling and keeping our manufacturing plant clean, safe and organized. Key Responsibilities: Assist the Maintenance Team with routine equipment maintenance and general repairs. Perform basic repairs, adjustments and upkeep on machinery, equipment and facility areas. Clean, lubricate and assist with preventative maintenance on equipment. Use hand tools and power tools to complete general maintenance and repair tasks. Operate a forklift to move materials, equipment and machinery throughout the plant. Assist with shipping, receiving and general material handling. Help relocate equipment and maintain an organized, efficient plant layout. Perform general facility maintenance, cleaning and housekeeping. Support Lean initiatives and continuous improvement throughout the facility. Maintain a clean, safe and orderly work environment. What We're Looking For: Mechanically inclined with good practical, hands-on skills. Enjoys fixing things, working with tools and figuring out how things work. Comfortable using hand tools and power tools. Previous experience in handyman work, general maintenance, property maintenance, automotive, manufacturing or a similar hands-on environment is an asset. Previous forklift operating experience is required for hire. Reliable, self-motivated and willing to take initiative. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Safety-conscious with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
