Make an impact with our Finance team as a Senior Accountant, Partner Accounting. Responsibilities Maintain project schedules to complete updates of Partner related records Set up, maintain, and make updates to Partner information in applicable Finance systems Set up, maintain, and make updates to Partner buyout/pension accounting systems Directly support our EFT payments and T5013 processes Prepare monthly journal entries and general account reviews Provide coding, reconciliation, and communication of Partner capital accounts and draws Develop internal relationships to understand and be aware of factors that affect Partner related records Liaise and work closely with Human Capital, Legal, IT, Executive Administration, and our Firm Tax teams on Partner changes Assist in budgeting and creating opening balance sheets for mergers and conducting anniversary post-merger reviews and reconciliations Perform ad-hoc reporting and special projects as required Skills and Experience 5+ years of relevant experience in a payroll or accounting role Thorough understanding of accounting concepts Critical thinking skills, with the ability to see the broader impacts on financial accounting and tax Ability to use knowledge and experience to recommend a course of action Proficient with Microsoft Excel, and experienced in working with various accounting systems Experience applying AI to streamline processes (Power automate, Office scripts, Copilot) Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to manage internal and external relationships Written and verbal English language skills, with French considered an asset Any of the following would also be considered an asset: A professional designation Experience working in a Professional Services environment MyRewards@MNP With a focus on high-potential earnings, MNP is proud to offer customized rewards that support our unique culture and a balanced lifestyle to thrive at work and outside of the office.
