Salary Range:

Company Story:
Our client is an established Alberta-based organization operating within the manufacturing industry. With a strong focus on quality, operational excellence, and continued growth, they are looking to add a Staff Accountant to their South Edmonton team.
This is an in-office opportunity working closely with the Controller and internal departments across the business. The company has excellent retention and great perks for their employees
The Right Fit:
This role reports directly to the Controller and will take responsibility for a broad range of full-cycle accounting functions, financial reporting, reconciliations, tax filings, and general accounting support.
This role suits someone who enjoys being involved across the accounting function rather than working within one narrow area. You are organized, accurate, comfortable working independently, and equally comfortable collaborating with other departments.
The successful candidate will have an accounting degree or diploma and be enrolled in, or planning to enroll in, the CPA program. A strong understanding of full-cycle accounting is essential.
What You'll be Doing:
Manage full-cycle accounting activities and support accurate financial reporting
Assist with monthly internal financial statements in accordance with ASPE
Prepare fixed asset schedules, journal entries, and year-end financial statement information
Support accounts receivable, including invoice preparation and payment follow-up
Assist with accounts payable, purchase order adjustments, and inventory adjustments
Prepare monthly GST and PST returns and research appropriate tax treatment when required
Audit accounting transactions and maintain the integrity of internal controls and processes
Prepare ad hoc reports and financial analysis for the Controller as required
What You Bring to the Table:
Post-secondary degree or diploma in Accounting
Enrolled in, or intending to enroll in, the CPA program
Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting
Previous experience in a similar accounting role is an asset
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across a team
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
What's in It for You:
Permanent, full-time opportunity with an established Alberta organization
Direct exposure to the Controller and a broad range of accounting responsibilities
Opportunity to build hands-on experience while progressing toward your CPA designation
Work life balance you can depend on
If This Isn't You, But....
