We are looking for a customer-focused Service Advisor who can guide customers through the vehicle maintenance and repair process while building strong, lasting relationships.
This is a unionized position represented by IAMAW Automotive Lodge 2332 and governed by the applicable Collective Agreement.
What You’ll Do
Greet customers and determine their vehicle maintenance or repair needs
Provide repair recommendations and accurate estimates of costs and completion times
Explain vehicle concerns and recommended services clearly
Coordinate with technicians and Parts personnel to support timely repairs
Keep customers informed about the status of their vehicles
Prepare and maintain accurate work orders and service documentation
Promote appropriate maintenance, repair, parts, and service offerings
Follow up with customers after service
Address customer questions or concerns promptly and professionally
Follow dealership procedures and applicable safety requirements
Perform other reasonable duties as assigned
What You Bring
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous Service Advisor or automotive sales experience is preferred
Strong automotive knowledge and understanding of vehicle maintenance and repairs
Excellent communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Comfort using automotive service software and other computer applications
A positive, collaborative approach and the ability to work well in a busy environment
Valid driver’s licence
Schedule
The standard workweek is 40 hours, consisting of five shifts scheduled Monday through Saturday, generally between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., with a one-hour unpaid lunch.
Compensation
Base compensation: $1,750 bi-weekly
Bonus: 3.5% of individual monthly customer-paid labour sales above $27,000, excluding warranty work
Vacation pay: 4%
Overtime and premium payments are provided in accordance with the Collective Agreement, including time and one-half after 40 hours worked per week
