Job DescriptionJob Description Family owned & operated shop seeking Mechanic: Location: Spruce Grove, Alberta Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent Shift: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Wage: 35.00/hour About the Role: Are you a sharp, self-motivated Mechanic looking to take the lead on fleet operations? We are seeking a reliable technician with a strong eye for safety and preventative maintenance to take charge of our fleet maintenance, routine inspections, and repairs at our family owned and operated shop in Spruce Grove. Minimum Requirements: •Completed 4th-year Heavy Duty (HD) Mechanic. •Must hold a valid CVIP (Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program) license. •Tools: Must have your own standard set of hand and pneumatic tools. •Experience: Proven experience working on heavy-duty highway tractors and various trailer types. •Skills: Strong diagnostic capabilities (mechanical, electrical, and air systems), comfortable working independently, and great organization. •Driver’s License: Valid Driver’s License (Class 1 or Class 3 is a strong asset). Key Responsibilities: •Take full charge of all fleet maintenance schedules, routine inspections, and repairs. •Conduct, document, and sign off on required CVIP inspections to maintain total safety and compliance. •Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues across fleet equipment. •Perform proactive preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime. •Maintain accurate maintenance logs and inspection documentation.
