The Waterloo Catholic District School Board serves over 30,000 learners and provides services to students in 50 schools (Kindergarten to Grade 12 and adult learners) across the Waterloo Region.

inimum Requirements:
As a member of the Student Services Team, you will provide psychoeducational assessment and recommendations for students in grades JK-12 with a broad range of special education and mental health needs. You will also provide direct and indirect consultative services for students to support school programming. The position involves consultation with students, principals, teachers, parents and community agencies.
Scope of practice related to children, adolescents, and young adults
Master's degree in School or Clinical Psychology
Registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario having the authority to perform the controlled act of diagnosis autonomously and ‘school psychology' as a declared area of competency, or eligible to register with the College of Psychologists of Ontario with a commitment to attain the school psychology designation
Evidence of experience in comprehensive psychoeducational assessment and consultation
Demonstrated ability to accurately diagnose disorders related to children's social, emotional, behavioural, developmental and learning problems. (e.g., Learning Disorders, Intellectual Disability, ADHD, ASD, Anxiety and other mental health disorders)
Demonstrated ability to use a variety of assessment techniques and tools to determine student's psychological and educational needs and to provide recommendations for programming
Ability/attitude to be a positive, contributing member of a multidisciplinary team within a number of school settings
Knowledge of child and adolescent development and learning processes.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
The successful candidate will be required to produce a satisfactory Criminal Background Check.
Must possess a valid driver's licence and be able to use own vehicle
Desired Assets:
Experience in an educational setting and knowledgeable in another language
Participation in ongoing professional/leadership development activities
Familiarity with a wide range of special education programs and services
Knowledge and experience in providing consultation with teachers, administrators and parents on the intellectual, academic, social and emotional development of students
Salary Range
:
APSSP Category 2, $70,072.00 – $104,237.00 per year based on 194 school days per year and evaluation of years of experience in accordance with the provisions of the APSSP Collective Agreement.

: Permenant full-time, 35 hours per week

Catholic Education Centre; 35 Weber St. Kitchener (currently staff are working a combination of Catholic Education Centre and schools)
