About the Role
We are seeking a Chemical Technician who is dedicated, hardworking with a professional attitude and ethics at our production plant located at the Corman Park, 15 mins away from the west side of Saskatoon.
The Chemical Technician will primarily be responsible to create and blend chemical batches of various products safely and efficiently. This position will monitor physical and chemical parameters of products for quality compliance.
Job Responsibilities
Blend chemical batches safely and efficiently to meet the quality requirements.
Monitor physical and chemical parameters of products for quality compliance.
Co-ordinate production with the lab, Production Manager, and packaging departments.
Communicate issues with QC unit proactively regarding manufacturing processes and product parameters.
Ensure the use of proper protective equipment and storage techniques for various chemistries.
Keep a clean and organized workspace.
Report all production data daily to management.
Develop new ways of manufacturing, improving existing manufacturing processes or adopting better manufacturing processes.
Perform periodic field inspections of manufactured goods both prior to and during manufacturing to determine compliance with approved plans and regulations at the request of inspectors.
Stay up to date on new and emerging trends in the manufacturing industry.
Qualifications
First degree or an advanced degree in chemistry, biochemistry or relevant for a manufacturing-specific industry
Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
A clear and solid understanding of the issues faced by the manufacturing industry
Ability to identify issues and implement creative and strategic solutions to overcome problems
Able to work in a team centered environment.
Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills
