Position Summary This is a casual/part-time position with opportunities for ongoing overnight assignments based on client needs and staff availability. Reporting to the Client Services Coordinator, the RPN is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care in accordance with individualized care plans, professional standards, and evidence-based clinical practices. What We Offer $35.00 per hour Consistent and ongoing client assignments Casual/part-time employment Opportunities for regular overnight shifts based on client needs and employee availability 8 to 12-hour shift lengths Flexible scheduling opportunities Paid orientation and ongoing education Clinical mentorship and nursing support Mileage reimbursement between client visits, where applicable Employee referral program Employee recognition and rewards program Supportive, collaborative, and inclusive workplace culture Key Responsibilities Deliver nursing care in accordance with the client's care plan and within the scope of practice established by the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) Administer medications and monitor therapeutic outcomes Perform clinical procedures, including wound care, injections, and health assessments as required Monitor client health status and promptly report significant changes Assist with personal care and activities of daily living as required Provide client and family education and support Deliver compassionate companionship and emotional support Provide respite support to family caregivers Maintain accurate, timely, and professional documentation using electronic charting systems Promote a safe, respectful, and client-centered care environment Qualifications and Requirements Current registration and good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) Strong verbal and written communication skills in English Additional language skills are considered an asset Previous home care, community nursing, or long-term care experience is considered an asset Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license with the ability to travel to client locations Access to a mobile phone and reliable internet connection Negative TB test or chest X-ray completed within the previous six months Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from a recognized provider Valid Vulnerable Sector Check completed within the previous 12 months Immunization Requirements Successful candidates must provide proof of immunization in accordance with client and organizational requirements, including: COVID-19 Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR) Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis (Tdap) Polio Varicella Hepatitis B Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accommodation Compass Homecare is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering an inclusive, accessible, and respectful workplace.
