Position Summary:
The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer will be responsible for performing a variety of ultrasound examinations with a primary focus on General and Musculoskeletal (MSK) imaging. This position offers a diverse caseload, modern equipment, and the opportunity to work alongside a supportive team of healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations.
Conduct General Ultrasound studies, including abdominal, pelvic, small parts, and related examinations.
Perform Musculoskeletal (MSK) ultrasound examinations.
Produce diagnostic-quality images to support accurate patient diagnosis and treatment.
Review image quality and ensure studies meet clinical standards.
Prepare patients for examinations while providing exceptional patient care and comfort.
Maintain accurate patient records and examination documentation.
Communicate effectively with radiologists, physicians, and clinic staff.
Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality assurance protocols.
Maintain ultrasound equipment and examination rooms in accordance with clinic standards.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
Current registration and good standing with CMRITO.
Minimum 1–2 years of sonography experience preferred.
Strong General Ultrasound scanning skills.
Experience in MSK ultrasound is considered a strong asset.
Vascular experience is beneficial but not required.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient-care skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
