We are WSP. The Opportunity WSP has a new opportunity for an Environmental Assessment and Remediation Project Manager to join our Remediation Program Management team based in Saskatoon or Regina . This new opportunity will require you to manage risk and closure of contaminated sites in the downstream oil and gas industry. You will design and oversee field work related to monitoring, investigating, and remediating contaminated sites impacted by hydrocarbons (diesel, gasoline crude oil etc.) fertilizers and metals, as well as prepare technical reports. It is expected that you are self-motivated and will demonstrate strong time management and communication skills. Your Impact Create a safe and positive environment for colleagues. Lead a project team and take on responsibilities including: Reviewing health and safety plans and emergency response plans. Preparation of proposals and cost estimates. Report writing and reviewing, including preparing conclusions and recommendations. Project accounting, tracking and reporting requirements to the terms of reference under WSP's Master Services Agreements. Training junior staff in environmental practices including Phase I and II ESAs, drilling, surveying, groundwater sampling, oversight of remediation etc. Training staff on site specific health and safety. Manage client relationships. Collaborate across the national RPM team and WSP. Develop a personal career development plan with specific goals to achieve your career aspirations. The Skills That Set You Apart Bachelor's degree in related field (sciences and/or Engineering). Minimum 8 years of experience in contaminated site assessments. Sound understanding of the need for health and safety procedures in the workplace/Possess a safety conscious attitude. An analytical mind; someone who is able to make recommendations on the next steps for client sites. Strong business acumen and financial management experience, developing, tracking and forecasting on annual budgets. Previous experience with soil and ground water sampling and remediation. Understanding of the Saskatchewan Environmental regulations. Professional designation is preferred. Experience in the oil and gas sector will be an asset. Why Choose WSP?
