Securicare is seeking
Security Guard
to support our healthcare security operations in
Powell River
within the Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) portfolio. This role is based across multiple healthcare site. In this position, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. You will be responsible for access control, proactive patrols, incident response, and working closely with healthcare teams in a fast-paced clinical setting. The ideal candidate brings strong situational awareness, professionalism, and the ability to respond effectively in high-pressure situations.
Pay Rate:
$24.5/hr
Location:
Qathey General Hospital, Powell River.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Monitor entry points and control access to the healthcare facility, verifying credentials and authorizing entry for authorized personnel.
Conduct regular patrols of the facility, including interior and exterior areas, to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security threats.
Respond promptly to security incidents, including medical emergencies, disturbances, and safety hazards.
