Job DescriptionJob DescriptionOur Client is a fresh herbs producer with farms located in Quebec and Mexico. They are committed to sustainable agriculture and delivering the highest quality products to their customers. To support their growing operations, they are centralizing all purchasing activities and seeking a skilled Buyer to manage non-perishable goods procurement across both locations.
Job Summary
As the Buyer, you will be responsible for managing the procurement of all non-perishable items including packaging, farm equipment, and supplies. You will coordinate purchasing activities between our Quebec and Mexico farms to ensure efficient, cost-effective sourcing while maintaining high standards. This role requires strong negotiation skills, bilingual communication (French-English), and proficiency in Excel. Knowledge of Spanish is highly desirable to facilitate seamless coordination with their operations in Mexico.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the procurement process for all non-perishable goods across farms in Quebec and Mexico.
Centralize purchasing operations to optimize costs, supplier relationships, and inventory management.
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with suppliers to secure the best value and service.
Coordinate logistics and communication between the Quebec and Mexico sites to streamline purchasing activities.
Prepare and analyze purchase data and reports using advanced Excel skills.
Conduct supplier evaluations, manage vendor relationships, and handle tender processes or requests for proposals (RFPs).
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, finance, and logistics.
