We are looking for a
Corporate Counsel, Privacy Concentration,
who will act as dedicated legal counsel providing privacy-related legal advice on public body obligations under the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act ("FIPPA").
This is a
temporary
full-time role to May 2027.

Where you'll work
At WorkSafeBC, we offer a hybrid work model that combines working remotely, and in our offices based on the operational needs of the position.
In this role, you will work primarily from our Richmond Office with some flexibility to work from your home in B.C.
As Corporate Counsel you will:
Provide legal advice on public body obligations under the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act ("FIPPA").
Review procurement process documents and service provider contracts to develop contract conditions related to data security and public body obligations under FIPPA and Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner guidelines.
Represent WorkSafeBC before the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner by conducting mediations and hearings.
