We are looking for an experienced Long-Haul Driver to join our Edmonton, AB Waste Services team. In this role, you will safely transport waste materials using roll-off and end dump vehicles while supporting our commitment to safety, operational excellence, and customer service.
This is a full-time, permanent driving role working a 6-on, 3-off schedule, with potential for overtime and on-call work. The role is based out of
Redwater, AB
, and involves operating roll-off and end dump trucks to haul bins and materials between Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Comply with all jurisdictional traffic safety legislation and company safety policies.
Safely operate various vehicles, including straight trucks and tractor trailers.
Abide by all Waste Management and customer site-specific safety procedures.
Ensure all waste containers are properly labeled in accordance with TDG regulations (Drums – stick-on labels, Bags – pocket labels, Bins – wire tie labels).
Verify all required labeling information is complete, including shipping name, generator name, approval number, TDG class, UN number, packing group, load number, and drum number.
Inspect waste materials to confirm compliance with manifests, recycle dockets, and bills of lading.
Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend coverage.
Communicate regularly with Dispatch to support customer needs and maximize operational efficiency.
Assist with facility operations as required.
Valid Class 1 Driver’s License
5+ years of commercial driving experience in Waste Management, Oil & Gas, or related industrial sectors
Experience operating tri-drive trucks and end-dump trailers.
Ability to safely operate transport vehicles in challenging weather and remote work environments.
Strong understanding of Hours of Service regulations, load securement, and driving compliance requirements.
Ability to accurately complete safety and operational documentation.
Strong work ethic with the ability to work long days and occasional overnight trips.
Must be fit for duty and able to work safely each day.
Familiarity with Canadian highway systems and remote oilfield locations.
