This is a Continuing contract position.
This position is effective February 1, 2027 and will continue until June 25, 2027.

The starting annual salary for a school teacher position ranges from $63,670 to $116,190, with placement on the range based on the length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement. Positions of Responsibility receive an additional pay allowance in accordance with the collective agreement based on the levels 1, 2, or 3.
Secondary School Teacher
Possess a valid BC Teaching Certificate, membership in the BC Teachers Regulation Branch and eligibility for a Teachers Qualification Card.
Bachelor of Education (Secondary) or equivalent with a major or minor in the subject area(s).
Demonstrated current knowledge of the subject area, including Big Ideas, curricular competencies, content and appropriate resources
Previous successful experience teaching the subject required
Demonstrated ability to use a variety of teaching and assessment strategies
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills
Have knowledge and/or experience in the areas of outcomes-based instruction, assessment for learning, differentiated instruction and inclusive education
Be proficient with technology and 21st century learning
