The City of Winkler’s Building Maintenance department ensures that our public facilities are clean and functional. This department maintains several municipal facilities, including City Hall, the Winkler Library, our Public Works and Utilities building, the P.W. Enns Centennial Concert Hall, and the Winkler Police Service building. This team makes a vital contribution to our city’s quality of life!
What You’ll Do
Reporting to the Building Maintenance Supervisor, our City Hall Custodian serves the public by cleaning Winkler’s City Hall and restocking washroom supplies. The employee will primarily work in City Hall but may be requested to fill in for other custodians and clean other facilities as well. Job Duties include but are not limited to:
The primary focus of the custodian is to make sure offices, washrooms, meeting rooms, break rooms, hallways, reception areas are cleaned.
Sweep, wash, and vacuum floors with dry mops, mops, vacuum cleaners, and floor cleaner.
Empty garbage and recycling containers.
Restock washroom supplies (toilet paper, paper towels, soap, etc.).
Clean and disinfect toilets, urinals, sinks, counters, mirrors, and the entrance doors’ glass.
