Job Description

Aston Carter's client is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join their team! This individual will provide responsive, professional support to customers by handling pickup requests, resolving inquiries, and coordinating with carriers and internal departments. This role also performs key administrative tasks, maintains accurate records and reports, and contributes to efficient transportation operations while delivering a high level of service. Key Responsibilities + Enter customer pickup requests received by phone and email accurately and in a timely manner. + Set up out-of-town pickups with carriers and conduct follow-ups to confirm arrangements and resolve any issues. + Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email, providing clear, courteous, and accurate information. + Handle customer issues by coordinating with dispatch and other internal departments to ensure effective resolution. + Place and update orders with terminals and carriers, ensuring all details are correct and current. + Perform administrative duties such as proof-of-delivery (POD) processing and imaging or scanning documents. + Enter payroll and productivity data into the appropriate systems and ensure information is complete and accurate. + Create, update, and use spreadsheet reports on a daily basis to track key information and support operations. + Maintain thorough and organized records of customer interactions, orders, and carrier communications. + Work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple tasks and priorities. + Demonstrate strong attention to detail to minimize errors in data entry, documentation, and reporting. + Collaborate with team members in the office to support a smooth and efficient workflow. Additional Skills & Qualifications MUST HAVE + At least 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment. + Working knowledge of Microsoft Office. + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. NICE TO HAVE + Experience in the transportation or logistics industry is an asset. + Experience using TruckMate or similar transportation management software is an advantage. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Calgary, AB. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
