**Job Title: Landscaper - Softscape Division** **Job Description** This role focuses on softscape landscaping work, supporting a foreman on a variety of outdoor projects. You will assist with soil installation, planter setup, drainage and irrigation tasks, plant layout, and planting, as well as help with deliveries and offloading plants when required. The position suits someone who is hands-on, enjoys working outdoors in all conditions, and is eager to contribute to the success of the team by taking on a wide range of tasks. **Responsibilities** + Assist with softscape landscaping tasks, including soil installation and preparation of planting areas. + Set up planters and ensure they are properly prepared and positioned according to project plans. + Support the installation and adjustment of drain pipes and irrigation components as directed by the foreman. + Help with plant layout by following plans and instructions to position plants accurately on site. + Perform planting of trees, shrubs, and other plant material to specified standards. + Load, unload, and offload plants, materials, and equipment safely from deliveries and site vehicles. + Read and interpret landscape plans and drawings to understand project requirements and layout. + Operate hand tools and, where applicable, assist with or support heavy equipment operations in softscape and hardscape areas under supervision. + Work closely with the softscape foreman and other crew members to complete daily tasks efficiently. + Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper handling and storage of tools, equipment, and materials. + Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs on a regular basis throughout the workday. + Work safely in outdoor environments and in all weather conditions, following safety guidelines and site procedures. + Contribute positively to the team environment by being flexible, willing to help where needed, and open to learning new skills. **Essential Skills** + 3-5 years of experience in softscape landscaping. + Demonstrated experience working with plants, including planting and basic plant handling. + Ability to read and interpret landscape plans and drawings. + Valid driver's license. + Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the day. + Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions and environmental elements. + Willingness to perform a variety of tasks to support the team and project goals. + Basic familiarity with softscaping and hardscaping environments. + Ability to work effectively alongside others on active job sites. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience performing plant layout on site, including spacing and positioning according to plans. + Fall protection training or certification. + Experience supporting or performing heavy equipment operation in a landscape setting. + Ability to communicate in Spanish. + Interest in ongoing training and skills development related to landscaping and softscaping. **Why Work Here?** You join a team that invests in your growth and recognizes your contribution. Typical projects include parks, new construction sites, and maintenance work for commercial buildings. You work Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with occasional overtime depending on project needs. The role is hands-on and physically active, requiring regular lifting and continuous movement throughout the day. You work alongside a crew and foreman in a collaborative, team-oriented environment, spending the majority of your time outdoors and exposed to varying weather conditions.
