Job Description
Accountabilities:
Works with an interdisciplinary health care team to complete all clerical duties
Excellent work record essential
Utilizes excellent customer service skills when answering/directing telephone calls and booking appointments
Accurately processes all physicians orders using order entry through Meditech
Adhere to Osler privacy agreement
Attendance for clerical/departmental staff meetings as requested
Assists with extra clerical duties as assigned
Data collection for all programs
Functions within the health and safety guidelines to provide safe and supportive environment for all patients/families
Ability to work in fast-paced environment with competing priorities
Qualifications
Medical terminology certificate required
Computer literacy and previous experience with Microsoft Office (Excel is required and Project an asset)
Successful completion of Meditech admissions and order entry programs essential
Successful completion of automated scheduling essential
Medical administration certificate or diploma preferred
Keyboarding skills 45/wpm
Evidence of ongoing education in office administration or other registration and booking processes
Demonstrated commitment to continuing education
Previous office experience required (booking and registration required)
Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills
Must demonstrate Osler's Values of Respect, Excellence, Service, Compassion, Innovation and Collaboration
Data analysis experience preferred
Able to prioritize and function effectively in a busy environment
Demonstrated ability and experience through positive performance appraisals, work history and attendance records
Additional Information
Currently Days, 8 hours shifts including weekends and statutory holidays (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)
Salary:
Minimum: $25.54 per hour
Maximum: $27.66 per hour
