What’s the role
Shell is seeking a Production Operator – Upstream (also known internally as either a Plant or Field Operator) to join its team in Fort St. John.
Shell Canada’s Groundbirch asset is located approximately 70 km southwest of Fort St. John, British Columbia. It is an upstream Montney gas field that includes roughly 500 operating wells and four gas plants. Groundbirch is a key asset supplying feed gas to LNG Canada; we take pride in helping Canada deliver LNG to the rest of the world.
The Production Operator – Upstream is responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of oil and gas production facilities. This role ensures production targets are met while maintaining strict adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
In addition, this is a field-based role with exposure to varying weather conditions. The work schedule will be 7 days on/7 days off (12-hour shifts) or 8 days on/6 days off (10-hour shifts) depending on
