General Overview:
The Housekeeping team is responsible for the overall cleanliness of the hotel, including guest rooms and public spaces. This is an excellent front-line opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in the hotel industry.
Fast-paced and dynamic, the Overnight Houseperson role is essential to daily operations and overall guest satisfaction. This multi-faceted position supports both guests and team members by maintaining public areas, restocking supplies, and responding promptly to requests. Duties are typically divided between janitorial functions and deliveries/restocking.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain cleanliness of public areas, including the lobby, hallways, washrooms, elevators, pool, and fitness center.
Respond to guest requests by delivering items such as amenities, pre-packaged food, and cots.
Restock complimentary items in the Elite Pantry (a self-serve lounge for Elite-level guests).
Restock of Room Attendant supplies in housekeeping storage area.
Occasional overnight support for laundry operation (i.e. loading washers or dryers).
Retrieve and organize supplies for guest-facing departments.
Serve as the initial contact for minor maintenance issues when the maintenance team is unavailable.
Complete project work such as scheduled carpet shampooing or deep cleaning of public spaces.
Uphold all brand and property standards for cleanliness, safety, and guest service.
Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Working Conditions:
Fast paced environment that is often demanding.
Stand, walk and remain on feet to perform job duties for entire shift duration.
Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
Use of cleaning chemicals.
Available for working a variety of shifts which includes weekends, statutory holidays, evenings and overnights as required.

Unionized Hotel
Shifts: 8.5-hour shifts from 11PM to 7:30AM, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, or additional for vacation coverage needs
