The Jr Sous Chef plays a vital role in supporting the Senior Sous Chef in delivering exceptional international cuisine. Working within a team of 5-10 culinary professionals, the Jr Sous Chef assists with food preparation, inventory management, and ensuring high standards of quality and consistency. This position requires adaptability to rotating shifts and a commitment to maintaining excellent kitchen operations and ability to work independently.
Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients and assist in the execution of recipes
Manage inventory levels and monitor ingredient quality
Support menu development and daily kitchen operations
Collaborate effectively with a culinary team of 5-10 members
Handle ingredients carefully to maintain freshness and safety
Ensure quality control throughout food preparation and plating
Adhere to recipes and standard kitchen procedures
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience in culinary arts
Preferred Qualifications
Associate degree in Culinary Arts or related field
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
Proficient knife skills and culinary techniques
Experience with inventory management
Strong time management
