Working under the direction and supervision of a Physiotherapist, as a Physiotherapy Assistant, you will independently carry out prescribed rehabilitation therapy programs to assist clients to cope with their limitations in movement, daily functioning, and activity. Care will take place in community settings.

What you’ll do:
Set up and prepare required equipment for client use and clean equipment following use
Participate in program planning
Carry out exercise programs plus gait training ensuring clients perform the prescribed activities in an appropriate and safe manner.
Assist the supervising Physiotherapist by performing various components of the treatment plan including gait training, balance exercises, transfer training, range of motion, strengthening, plus application of modalities (i.e. heat, ice, ultrasound, TENS) as prescribed by the Physiotherapist
