Island Crisis Care Society has been dedicated to supporting individuals experiencing homelessness, substance use, and mental health challenges in Nanaimo and Oceanside for over 30 years. Adopting a Housing First Philosophy, ICCS aims to provide shelter and care, enabling clients to focus on personal improvement and independence. Our mission is to offer a ‘continuum of care’ through innovative housing strategies and comprehensive support programs, ensuring that clients receive the necessary assistance at every stage of their recovery journey.
ICCS operates 13 programs across 9 housing sites, supporting up to 276 clients daily. Our services range from crisis stabilization at facilities like Crescent House and Safe Harbour to long-term supportive housing at Orca Place and Samaritan Place.
