IME Clinic is currently seeking a full-time Medical Administrative Assistant (MAA) to join our team on a permanent basis. As the largest IME provider in the Lower Mainland, BC, we perform immigration medical exams with IRCC-registered panel physicians across multiple clinics in Vancouver, Surrey, Burnaby, New Westminster, North Vancouver, Coquitlam, and Langley.
The MAA will support our panel physicians by performing various clerical and administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, data entry, creating eMedical cases, replying to email queries, and answering phone calls. The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills, be thoughtful and discreet, have great organizational skills, and be able to manage large amounts of detailed information. Additionally, the candidate must be comfortable working independently and in a team setting and have welcoming customer service skills.
Preference will be provided to candidates with prior work experience in a similar job and those who can speak Punjabi or Hindi. However, we will also consider candidates who can speak a second language.
Responsibilities:
Answer phones, reply to email queries, and direct calls as necessary
Create eMedical cases and enter data into patient records
Prepare charts and patient documents
Greet patients and check them in for appointments
Manage patient flow within the clinic
Communicate with panel physicians and other clinic staff as necessary
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Medical Administrative Assistant experience (preferred, not mandatory)
Excellent communication skills
Ability to be thoughtful and discreet
Great organizational skills
Ability to manage large amounts of detailed information
Capable of working both independently and in a team setting
Comfortable working under pressure
Welcoming customer service skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to speak Punjabi (preferred)
Ability to speak a second language (acceptable)
