In summary, what does the role entail?
The Reliability Specialist plays a key role in identifying and eliminating failures to optimize equipment performance. In collaboration with production, maintenance, and engineering teams, they implement sustainable solutions to improve reliability, reduce downtime, and maximize equipment availability.

What is the ideal profile for this position?
DEC in Maintenance or Mechanical Engineering, Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial reliability or maintenance (CMRP or reliability certification is an asset)
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to solve technical problems
Solid understanding of industrial equipment and ability to demonstrate technical leadership
Proficiency with CMMS tools and Excel (pivot tables, data analysis)
Team-oriented with strong communication skills, functional English, and ability to thrive in a continuous improvement environment
Excellent bilingual communication skills, both verbal and written; proficiency in French is essential
As a Reliability Specialist
what will your responsibilities be?
Analyze equipment performance and reliability data to optimize overall efficiency
Identify root causes of failures and conduct analyses (RCA, 5 Whys, Pareto, Ishikawa)
Optimize preventive and predictive maintenance strategies (frequency, scope, Poka-Yoke, etc.)
Establish and monitor maintenance performance indicators (MTBF, MTTR, TPM, costs)
Recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives (processes, equipment, Industry 4.0)
Develop analyses and business cases (ROI, A3, root cause) to support decision-making
Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers on optimization and improvement projects
Ensure availability of critical spare parts and support field teams in evolving best practices
