Open Availability
Typical shifts are as follows 3:00 am to 10:00 am, 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 pm, and 6:00 am to 1:00 pm
Early Mornings, Weekdays, Weekends, and General Holidays Required
What You'll Be Doing
Prioritize providing exceptional customer service to deliver a positive customer experience thereby cultivating a positive reputation for the company and fostering customer loyalty.
Using manual and electrical processing machines.
Following recipes and/or product directions.
Rolling, kneading, cutting, or shaping dough to form rolls, buns, or other products.
Placing dough in pans, molds, or on sheets.
Following the production schedule set out by management.
Using convection ovens in a safe manner.
Interacting with customers in a friendly manner.
Cleaning and sanitizing the work area.
Representing ICS both in and out of the store.
Adhering to all food safety protocols, standard operating procedures, health and safety policies, and other programs and initiatives.
Other duties as required.
Qualifications
Certified Baker or Journeyperson (preferred)
Proven expertise in bread production processes, including mixing, proofing, baking, and packaging.
High school diploma or GED from an accredited school system or program preferred.
Enrolled in or have completed at least the first year of the Baking Apprenticeship Program (preferred)
Minimum two-years experience in a bakery environment
Skills and Abilities
Excellent listening skills and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work in fast paced environment.
Ability to meet deadlines given by management.
Ability to work under pressure, while maintaining a professional image at all times.
Ability to learn quickly.
Work independently with little direct supervision.
Have a well-balanced concern for both task and people.
Have a genuine concern for needs of customers.
Working Conditions
Job requires employee to work a variety of shifts including early mornings, days, weekends, and holidays.
Environment can be hot.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift 50 lbs. consistently.
Long periods of standing and walking.
Frequent bending and twisting.
Occasionally pushing and pulling of heavy carts around bakery.
Occasionally work in coolers and freezers for short periods of time.
Occasionally work with hot ovens and in hot temperatures.
