Job Summary
We are hiring a
Private Nurse (RN)
to provide one-to-one nursing support for clients. This role is focused on private care in home and community settings and is ideal for a nurse who values autonomy, strong clinical judgment, and high-quality client-centred care.
You will work directly with clients and families to deliver safe, professional nursing support tailored to individual needs. Assignments may include ongoing care, short-term support, post-hospital care, and wellness-focused nursing visits.
Responsibilities
Provide private-duty nursing care in home and community settings
Complete nursing assessments and monitor changes in condition
Administer medications and treatments within scope
Support care planning and communicate clearly with clients, families, and care teams
Maintain accurate clinical documentation
Provide education and guidance to clients and family members
Follow professional, privacy, and safety standards at all times
Qualifications
Current
Nursing registration
as a Registered Nurse
Current CPR certification
Strong assessment and communication skills
Experience in home care, community care, private duty, medical-surgical, rehab, palliative, or complex care is an asset
Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation are an asset depending on assignment
Clear criminal record check
Ability to work independently and manage visits professionally
