Express Employment Professionals, Delta is searching for a Senior Estimator for our Window and Curtain Wall Manufacturing client to lead cost estimation for aluminum window, door, curtainwall and facade projects. You will analyze drawings, perform quantity takeâoffs, manage supplier pricing, and mentor junior estimators.
Responsibilities
- Review RFQ packages, drawings, specifications and tender documents to prepare cost estimates.
- Perform detailed quantity takeâoffs for aluminum materials (extrusions, sheet metal, glazing, hardware, etc.).
- Solicit and compare pricing from material suppliers and subcontractors.
- Prepare detailed pricing for labor, fabrication, glazing, installation and logistics.
- Conduct risk assessments prior to submitting quotes.
- Lead handover meetings with project management, design and production teams
- Coach and mentor junior estimators;
- maintain historical cost databases.
- Track bid outcomes to improve estimating accuracy.
Qualifications & Skills
- Postâsecondary diploma/degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Architectural), Construction Management or related field.
