The CNE, often affectionately referred to as The Ex, is Canada’s largest community event and one of the top ten agricultural fairs in North America, attracting approximately 1.6 million visitors annually over the course of its 18-day run. With something for everyone, the CNE offers a wide range of attractions and interactive entertainment experiences including: concerts, midway rides and games, shopping, exhibits, tech and gaming hubs, food and wacky treats!

Responsibilities
Facilitate staff rotation schedule, including break coverage, Program Attendant placement, and assigning Program Runners to areas of high demand
Provide the Program Assistant with daily debriefs on staff performance, program operations, and potential improvements
Lead daily shift meeting with updates from the Program Assistant and other Program Supervisors
Ensure staff are engaged with guests and kept on task
Ensure staff arrive at stations promptly and take breaks as scheduled
Be the point of contact for any issues that may arise in the Gaming Garage including lost children, guest complaints, technology malfunctions, and customer assistance.
Answer questions and provide info to guests regarding the exhibits, programming, attractions, facilities, and services
Document participation and interest of guests at key areas and times throughout the 18-day fair
Ensure that program areas are properly maintained, on schedule, and always presentable
Special Conditions
Ability to work in environments with low lights, flashing lights, strobe lights, high noise volumes, and moving projections
Ability to stand or remain in stationary position for extended periods of time
Ability to work indoors for extended periods of time
Comfortable with loud noises and crowds
Comfortable in instructing and aiding in programs such as brick-based STEM activities, facilitating programs such as STEM activities, hands-on puzzles, line management, and other gaming related programs
Comfortable in the troubleshooting, resetting, and monitoring of gaming related technologies such as gaming consoles, arcade machines, PCs, and other Gaming Garage related programs
Required to dress in appropriate uniform

Minimum Age Requirement: 16 years
Available to work flexible hours all 18 days of the fair (August 21st – September 7th, 2026), including evenings, weekends, and Labour Day
Available to attend mandatory one day of staff orientation and one day of staff training, taking place between early August – August 20, 2026. Exact dates to be confirmed
