RBC Capital Markets is hiring a
Senior Backend Developer
to support the domain within Quantitative & Technology Services (QTS). This team is central to enhancing how RBC onboards, maintains, and offboards institutional and corporate clients through strategic automation, regulatory compliance, and data fabric enablement.
The domain is currently undergoing a massive modernization of its infrastructure and automation capabilities. You will be a key technical contributor in building scalable, compliant, and high-performance backend systems that drive the next generation of client lifecycle processes.
What will you do?
Engineering & Architecture
Development of robust backend services using
Node.js
, JavaScript, and REST API design, focusing on scalability and low-latency processing.
REST API design and implementation, OAuth authentication
Optimize data persistence and retrieval strategies using
MongoDB
, ensuring high availability for complex client data structures.
Explore and implement
WebAssembly (Wasm)
modules to improve performance for computationally intensive tasks within the browser or server
