About the Role
The Government of Alberta's Data Centre of Excellence is seeking a highly skilled
Data Analytics Specialist / Data Scientist
to support the design and development of advanced analytical data products and services. This role is part of a strategic initiative to strengthen data-driven decision-making across ministries and improve services for Albertans.
You will work within a collaborative team to design, build, and optimize data models, analytics solutions, and AI-enabled products aligned with the government body's Data Strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support strategic data analytics initiatives across government departments
Design, build, and deploy data models, algorithms, and analytical products
Prepare data for predictive and prescriptive analytics
Develop dashboards, reports, and data visualizations for senior stakeholders
Apply statistical, machine learning, and data mining techniques to solve complex problems
