Your Impact:
We are seeking a highly capable and hands-on technology leader to oversee and evolve our organization’s IT operations, infrastructure, security, and digital transformation initiatives.
This role goes far beyond traditional IT management. It combines strategic leadership with deep technical execution across infrastructure, Microsoft 365, cybersecurity, automation, and emerging technologies such as AI. The successful candidate will act as both a trusted advisor to leadership and a hands-on contributor responsible for delivering reliable, secure, and scalable technology solutions.
This position operates in a lean IT environment and requires a strong ability to prioritize, execute, and drive continuous improvement across the business.
This position can be located in any one of our 5 offices in Ontario (Collingwood, Burlington, Guelph, Toronto, or Bradford).
How you will contribute to the team:
IT Leadership & Strategy
Develop and execute the organization’s IT and digital transformation strategy aligned with business objectives.
Serve as a strategic advisor to leadership on technology investments, risk, and innovation.
Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through technology and automation.
Lead AI adoption initiatives, including governance, risk management, and business enablement.
Infrastructure & Systems Management
Design, implement, and maintain on-premises and cloud infrastructure (servers, virtualization, storage, networking).
Oversee hybrid identity environments (Active Directory / Azure AD).
Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of core systems.
Manage backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.
Microsoft 365 & Collaboration Platforms
Administer and optimize Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange, Power Platform).
Drive adoption of collaboration tools and improve user productivity.
Implement governance, security, and lifecycle management policies.
Cybersecurity & Risk Management
Own cybersecurity strategy across systems, data, and users.
Manage endpoint security, email security, identity protection, and threat detection platforms.
Lead incident response, risk assessments, and security awareness initiatives.
Oversee compliance with internal policies and industry best practices.
AI, Automation & Innovation
Lead AI program initiatives, including tool selection, implementation, and governance.
Identify and deliver automation solutions using tools such as Power Automate, Power Apps, and scripting.
Enable business units to leverage AI and automation safely and effectively.
Establish frameworks for responsible AI use and risk mitigation.
Application & Data Solutions
Develop and support business solutions using Power Platform, SQL, and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI).
Integrate systems and improve data accessibility and reporting capabilities.
Support line-of-business applications and ERP systems.
Vendor & Service Management
Manage relationships with technology vendors, service providers, and consultants.
Negotiate contracts and ensure service delivery meets expectations.
Evaluate new technologies and solutions.
Telecommunications & Mobility
Manage corporate mobile devices, carrier relationships, and telecom services.
Oversee device lifecycle, usage, and cost optimization.
Physical Security Systems
Own and manage building security systems (access control, monitoring platforms).
Ensure integration with IT systems and adherence to security policies.
End-User Support & Operations
Provide escalation support for helpdesk and end-user issues when required.
Ensure high levels of service delivery and user satisfaction.
Develop and maintain IT policies, documentation, and standards.
What you bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
8+ years of progressive experience in IT, including leadership responsibilities.
Experience in professional services, engineering or consulting environment considered an asset.
Proven experience managing both infrastructure and cloud environments.
Strong expertise in Microsoft 365 administration and governance.
Experience with cybersecurity frameworks and tools.
Hands-on experience with automation, scripting, or low-code platforms (e.g., Power Platform).
Experience with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware or equivalent).
Strong understanding of networking, storage, and server infrastructure.
Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Deltek Ajera/Vantagepoint).
Experience implementing or governing AI solutions in a business setting.
Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery platforms (e.g., Veeam)
Experience managing vendors and external partners.
Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical employees.
Occasional travel to all corporate offices is required.

Salary range:
$100,000 - $150,000
